Annual Vaccination and Check-up

At Singleton Heights Veterinary Hospital, we offer vaccinations to safeguard cats, dogs, and rabbits against significant diseases.

For cats, we provide protection against feline herpes virus, calici virus, and parvo virus, and can also vaccinate for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) if your cat is considered at higher risk.

Dog vaccinations typically include the “C5 vaccination”, covering parvo virus, distemper, hepatitis, and the two strains of kennel cough: bordetella and parainfluenza. We also offer vaccinations against Leptospirosis (C2i vaccine).

For rabbits, we recommend an annual calici virus vaccination.

During your pet’s vaccination appointment, our veterinarians will perform a thorough physical examination to ensure your animal is healthy and happy. If you have any concerns, please let our vets know so we can address anything important to you and your pet.

Microchipping

A microchip is a tiny device, about the size of a grain of rice, that is implanted just under your pet’s skin by your vet. Each microchip contains a unique identification number, which is registered on a national database along with your contact details. In NSW, microchipping is required for all cats and dogs, providing a safe and reliable way to help reunite you with your pet if they go missing. The procedure is quick, safe, and offers peace of mind for pet owners across the state.

Prevention

Safeguarding your pet from intestinal worms, fleas, ticks, and heart-worm is fundamental to their ongoing health and wellbeing. At our clinic, we provide prevention products tailored to the unique needs of each animal, utilizing proven and effective treatments. Routine protection is particularly vital in NSW, where paralysis ticks can pose a life-threatening risk and heartworm infection can have serious long-term consequences. Our protocols are designed not only to ensure your pet’s comfort but also to protect your household from parasitic infestations.
