Singleton Heights Veterinary Hospital offers a full range of surgical procedures for companion animals. Our team has particular interest in companion animal surgery and offers their services to other veterinarians who may not have as much experience or confidence in surgery.

Singleton Heights Veterinary Hospital performs a range of surgeries including:

Orthopaedic

  • Cruciate Repair
    TTA Rapid (alternative to TTA, TPLO, TTO)
    Suitable for all but steep tibial plateaus.

  • De Angelis with Titanium Clamps.
    An older but effective procedure in smaller dogs.

  • Fracture Repair Plating.

  • All Pinnings including Growth Plate Stabilisation

  • Wiring and Screwing of Jaw Fractures, including those close to the ramus of the mandible.

  • Bone Grafts

Orthopaedic Surgeries are kept on a methadone/lignocaine/ketamine infusion for 24 hours, starting with a loading dose prior to the procedure.

Anaesthetic Equipment

Our dedicated surgery suite has piped oxygen, anaesthesia and a full range of instruments and scanners.

Imaging Equipment

Orthopaedic surgeries get an x-ray before and after the procedure which are instantly viewable thanks to digital processing. We have amazing imaging equipment.

Surgical Theatre

We do the basics with precision and care. Routine desexings have an admission appointment, dedicated surgical nurse monitoring the anaesthesia, pre, intra and post operative pain relief, discharge appointment, post operative appointment and follow ups.
